A separate division of the NGO “Ukrainian Nuclear Society” on the basis of SE “ShidGZK” (VP UkrYAT of SE “ShidGZK”) was created in June 2018. Its composition included representatives of the administration, labor teams of divisions, youth and veteran organizations of the enterprise. Since 1996, SE “SkhidGZK” has been a collective member of UkrYAT.

The unit is headed by the advisor to the general director Oleksandr Sorokin, the deputy is Olena Malook, a specialist in the public relations and mass media department.

The main tasks of the unit: active participation and promotion of the further development of the SE “ShidGZK” and Ukrainian nuclear generation; implementation of a set of measures aimed at forming an objective public opinion on the use of nuclear energy; promoting the development of creative, scientific, and professional interests of the company’s employees; creation of necessary conditions for the scientific and professional growth of young people, exchange of experience, scientific knowledge, new ideas, technical and technological innovations in the nuclear industry; dissemination of the best domestic and international practices in the field of nuclear energy.

Members of the VP UkrYAT of SE “SkhidGZK” are active participants in all statutory events of the Ukrainian Nuclear Society, contests, forums, and conferences. The Board of Directors of the NGO “Ukrainian Nuclear Society” included O. Sorokin, adviser to the general director, head of the VP UkrYAT of the SE “ShidGZK”, T. Gozhulyanina, head of the public and mass media relations department.

The Ukrainian Nuclear Society was established in 1992 and is the largest public organization that unites workers and veterans of enterprises of the nuclear industry of Ukraine, students of specialized educational institutions. The Society contributes to the solution of many scientific, industrial and social issues of nuclear energy in the country. On May 10, 2019, the NGO “Ukrainian Nuclear Society” became a member of the General Assembly of the European Nuclear Society and has 10 votes in the Assembly when making decisions
